Description
It's often useful to be able to correlate error messages (from any frontend) with entries in a storage server's logs. When a user passes on an error message, the exact time at which it happened is often lost. If a UTC timestamp were included in the message itself, that would be less likely.
It would be even better if operations (downloads, uploads, etc.) were tagged with a unique ID that was present both in the frontend error message and the log. However, that's likely to take more effort to implement.
