The Tahoe-LAFS devs hope to release pycryptopp 0.6.0 on 12/16/2011. pycryptopp is a set of Python wrappers for a few of the best crypto algorithms from the Crypto++ library. Below are some of the tickets this release will resolve:
Jimmy Tang submitted the idea of using tahoe as a backend driver for iRODS. iRODS is a data grid software system developed by the Data Intensive Cyber Environments research group (developers of the SRB, the Storage Resource Broker), and collaborators. The list discussed Jimmy's previous work with Tahoe-LAFS and git-annex, paying attention particularly to potential performance bottlenecks. The prevailing hope is Jimmy will attempt the project to determine if the potential bottlenecks are real.
Jimmy Tang also submitted a patch for the tahoe provisioning tool. The patch would update the provisioning tool to be more current with disk and user data sizes. Brian Warner contemplated removing the tool from the Tahoe executable and making it a standalone program. When Brian makes this change, he will implement Jimmy's patch. An example of Brian's work on this may be seen here.
There are five (5) tickets still needing review for 1.10:
