Welcome to The Least-Authority File System
Tahoe-LAFS is a Free and Open cloud storage system. It distributes your data across multiple servers. Even if some of the servers fail or are taken over by an attacker, the entire filesystem continues to function correctly, including preservation of your privacy and security.
A one-page summary explains the unique properties of this system.
Get Started
- Download 1.9.1 (alternate formats) and read the quickstart instructions
- or, get Tahoe-LAFS in a package from your operating system
Get Involved
- The tahoe-dev mailing list is the community forum.
- The tahoe-announce mailing list is a low-volume mailing list for announcements. Every few months we announce a new release. If we find a security flaw which threatens your data we'll announce that here, too.
- The Dev page has everything you need to know to start hacking on the internals of Tahoe-LAFS.
