    33(I think this app is not helpful even for allowing allmydata.com customers using Mac OS X to retrieve their data; please correct me if I'm wrong on that point.)

     5Update: the Windows GUI app depends on the same code ([source:src/allmydata/gui/confwiz.py]). The arguments for removing it are the same as for the Mac GUI app.
