I have a few questions about HKDF and how it could be used for our  
purposes. Fortunately the authors of it are trying to get it  
standardized and they asked for feedback on a mailing list that I'm  
subscribed to, so I took the opportunity to ask them:

Many of these questions would apply to any other KDF that we would  
use as well.
