FYI, I tried (1) and unfortunately it doesn't work -- it can't run  
sparc32 binaries. Incidentally, I haven't found sparc64 binaries for  
*any* Solaris package, so I couldn't test whether Solaris/sparc64  
binary emulation works.

I'm currently going through (2). It's been slow going since I've had  
very little free time the past couple weeks, but I'm making some  
progress today.

(3) would probably be the quickest route to successful tahoe builds,  
but it would probably eliminate my interest in getting a working ghc  
for OpenBSD/sparc64. ;)
