 By the way now that we have both Black Dew's Debian builder and mm's
 NetBSD builder hooked up, I see that it was also
 {{{allmydata.test.test_cli.Check.test_check}}} that locked up on Black
 Dew's:

 unstable-i386/builds/1/steps/test/logs/stdio

 That's the one that Black Dew tracked down to the Python {{{time.time()}}}
 call returning {{{NaN}}} instead of seconds-since-epoch.  Black Dew
 tracked that down by adding debugging instrumentation in Python and re-
 running.  Brian suggested (in this ticket) further debuggery.  Perhaps you
 two guys could supply mm with a patch that he could apply to determine if
 his lock-up is of the same source?
